Friends in Xylot, let's contact Jim Johnston.
All right, too many lingering questions. One way or another I'm gonna contact him, ask him how he names his songs & where the best way to view & download songs from his repertoire is. Does anybody know a good way to get in touch with him? I'll probably figure it out myself shortly anyway, but if you can help me speed that up . . . and if you'd like me to ask him anything else on your behalf, let me know. We can do this!!
Thank you.
Al
Thank you.

I will track this man down, damnit! - Even if I have to pull him out of his cave & slug him in the gut a few times. I have too many things to ask him & I'm tired of his dodging the spotlight! -ha-

I believe Johnston is an unreachable source to us.. Unless you're a WWE Music staff..

-ha- I think that if we really put our heads together & collaborate we can get in touch with him somehow. He seems not to have a Facebook profile . . . MySpace & Twitter isn't showing any exact results, either. I'll try WWE.com . . .

Dude, I'm talking about the songs that are good on their own, that can be listened to without constant reminder that its a wrestling song. "Oh Radio", "I Am Perfection", "Just Close Your Eyes". These are the songs I want. Then again I might get all three October 20th...two at best...I don't have faith in my boy, Zack Ryder...crazykid wrote:I don't think this is a good idea let leave Jim Johnston alone geez are people THAT impatient for for fucking WRESTLING THEMES???! by the time this guy calls up jim we could say adios to Xylot themes DON'T DO IT!

Heavens, no! I would never throw Xylot Themes under the bus! I wouldn't even ask him for anything. I just want to know how his works are released exactly if he chooses not to release whatever on commercial albums--and how he labels/names them. That's really about it. Other than that, I'd just like to talk to him & get to know him more. I should've made this clear earlier, though - I wouldn't bug him for any new entrance themes--unless he offers--and I most certainly wouldn't mention this site to him. -ha-

Seriously who cares? There are plenty of good themes missing (or so we think), and that part of the reason I do this, is I prefer to actually look for stuff. Nobody knows except the WWE what themes have been released, so its up to us to find them.

I met Mr.Kennedy last November and I asked him about the wwe music and he said that Kevin Dunn is the one who choses the songs that go on the cds, not johnston

yeah, because this is doable. tell ya what pal, just ask the dude for every theme made between 1996 and 2003, in CD/Stereo/Surround Sound/20-20 Hearing quality, and I'll be happy...

Why do you have to be a dooty? -ha- I realize this is tough, but if it pays off, it'd be neat.yeah, because this is doable. tell ya what pal, just ask the dude for every theme made between 1996 and 2003, in CD/Stereo/Surround Sound/20-20 Hearing quality, and I'll be happy...

It doesn't pay off. Jim Johnston and the WWE has pride in his work which is why he doesn't give it out willingly. I mean he has spent thousands of hours creating it for himself and the WWE. If I spent that much time on it, I'd be the same as him.
Whether you are serious or not, I've sen hundreds of these kinds of topics and they keep getting more ridiculous.

Why the hell was this thread even made in the first place.
This seems pointless to me.

Re: Friends in Xylot, let's contact Jim Johnston.
Asking him such questions as 'How are themes released when the WWE don't release them' could lead to that gateway being closed off, ultimately leading to us not getting themes in that way anymore. Why bother with a question like that when it could possibly lead to nothing but trouble for us theme collectors/finder?
Sure asking him for particular names of songs isn't harmful. But the question you have to ask himself is will he even want to tell some fan the names of his work that isn't even meant to be released? Again that may raise suspicion.
I just say leave the man to his work and stop trying to track him down and contact him. Themes will be released when they are released. Simple as that.

Okay, okay. Dean, again you bring up a good point. You're probably one of the brightest users on here. I didn't really think of it like that . . . but I'm still curious how that "gateway" exists anyway. There's a glaring omission in understanding how rare themes that've never been released have made it somehow into our collections that I'm starting to obsess over trying to figure out. How are these files leaked? You are right, though. Asking about it can end up in trouble for sites like this, so I'll let it go.
All right, all right; let's not contact him.
