New Themes for the Main Site

Discussion regarding the site itself. This includes the upcoming Version 7. Also comments about the site, suggestions for V7, questions about XT, problems with your life, and errors — ooh I hates those errors!

Re: New Themes for the Main Site

I just watched the two Entrances directly in RAW from May 4th 1998. With the first theme, I hear no difference to the theme of November 10th 1997 (or overheard?).
The second theme is definitely an intro cut, but without the instrumental version at the end. Just before the theme is cut, text is used again.
So there is at least one intro cut, which was used here.

No, there is a major difference. Listen to the drums in the beginning. Then it's after the Break It Down part that it goes back to a normal track. But the song is doubled in the beginning.

Here is the album version and then listen to the recording I made...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54enRhM_BS0

https://www.dropbox.com/s/7xjq41x6ygmef ... n.mp3?dl=0

I don't know if it has to be updated on the main site. But if this is an edit that Johnston made specifically to give the intro more kick which is what it sounds like, it should then be investigated further.
I am about to watch the following weeks RAW.

I can hear the difference. If it was only a one-night thing, perhaps it was either an error of some sort, or maybe it was on purpose to see how it sounded. It will be interesting to see if it was used like that more than once.

I listened to this version at RAW again in peace. I also heard the difference now. The drums sound dull and it seems to be doubled (an echo?). I will add both versions on the main site. I will call it "Arena Version" and "Intro Cut". Should anyone wish to change this is not a problem. And if these versions have been used several times, then the date can be changed at any time :-)

Edit: I have now added the two themes. It should be fine now. If something needs to be edited, please let me know. The Borrowed Themes must be edited in any case.

Looks good to me. Always remember to add the "Intro Cut" or "Arena Version" to the Short Note section, and any time stamps (Such as "Starts at 0:22") in the Long Note section. :)

Cool glad I could find something that we missed.
Our ever evolving themes list.
I still haven't got to the next night DX has come out, I haven't been able to watch it on the network since the new Network update. So idk if they used it twice.
Will return with info if they used it more than once.

I randomly found this on bandcamp:
https://megaranmusic.com/track/fighters ... e-darklord
In the description it reads:

"The official song for AEW's "Fyter Fest" which aired 6/29/19 from Daytona Beach, Florida."

I do not watch AEW, so I do not know how true this is.

I used the guide on Lita 8th: “LoveFuryPassionEnergy” (Intro Edit) by Jim Johnston feat. Boy Hits Car
The song starts at 0:10 - 0:20, then skips to 3:24 - 3:55, then plays 0:30 - finish

However I imported the WWE 2K17 version of LoveFury... to get the times correct, and the: from 0:30 - Finish part is actually extended.

So is the WWE 2K17 the correct version, another version used, or just only on WWE 2K17?

Edit: actually I think instead of from 0:30 seconds it's actually From 0:20.6 to 1:10 and then after that 1:42 - 1:52. then 0:20 to 1:04 then track ends or it it does an arena loop.

This is the Arena Version in CD Rip Quality from Forceable Entry edited by me.
This is better quality than the game rips. I left the track open for the loop and didn't fade out:

So, if I'm understanding correctly, the edit goes:

0:10 - 0:20, 3:24 - 3:55, 0:20 - 1:10, 1:42 - 1:52, 0:20 - 1:04

Is it possible the last part also goes to 1:10, then goes to 1:42 - 1:52, looping those 2 sections over and over as necessary?

Yes I believe the looped track would continue if played in the arena.

A friend showed me this..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RXtpyb ... .be&t=1299

Barry Windham uses The Rock's Destiny Theme in a house show. I believe it's The Rocks 2nd.
Since there is a date and video proof, should there now be a Barry Windham misc. theme page?

Added. The only thing I was unsure about is the date - is it March 6th, or June 3rd? I put March 6th for now, but if it's wrong let me know and I'll fix it.

A good viewer of mine brought this to my attention..
The June 15th 1998 episode of RAW a promo theme is used. (48:20)
https://watch.wwe.com/episode/Raw-5754
It should be called DX "Droppin' Knowledge" (Promo)
It is a second version of the DX theme's instrumental. You can really hear the difference from the one used on vol. 3 and the arena..
Here is a recording of it for those without WWE Network..

Yeah I listened to May 18 1998 which is the next DX Entrance. And they don't use it again. However if I hear it again I will update you.
