Stuff to Identify (Good Quality Recordings Needed)

Post by Steveo »

I've created some software that works like Shazam does to identify music. It basically can finger print audio files and compare the finger print to the massive production music database which I've personally created.

So it's still in the testing phases, but I'd like a little help from you guys (and hopefully can help you in the process)

If there's ANY track you're looking for which is likely a production track feel free to post it in this thread, and I will test out my software and hopefully it'll return a match for you.

I'm looking for decent quality recordings (without commentary or crowd noise) because those will be easiest to identify. Think of DVD Menu rips, of likely production tracks. Almost ALL of those tracks should turn up in my software.

Anyways, post whatever you like (even not wrestling related) or just throw a couple 30 second recordings off a random track at APM / FirstCom if you just want to try my software out. I'll see if it identifies it

Anyways, post up your MP3s and I'll see what I can do.

I'd like it if you can track this song down
https://app.box.com/s/wb6qowlia61kkfet21cm
This was used on last weeks edition of Impact Wrestling.

This one sadly has Mike Tenay, Taz and others talking, but the song has lyrics.. Hope this can be found. =)

The first track is from FirstCom, as I've heard it before. Unfortunately my software didn't pick it up because it's too short and too much talking.

The 3rd track was actually a pretty good, long sample size but it too didn't get picked up. :( ... must not be in my DB.

Also, good job finding that song for AfroDood. I still put it through the software, but it didn't find it.

Thank you for following instructions and uploading an MP3 file

My software found this!

CD: XCD274 - Epic Hip Hop
Track: Light Em Up

Track 2 on this CD:

Guys, if you want me to keep trying stuff, please post MP3s. I'm not going to be able to sit here and rip YouTube Videos all the time. It's gotta be MP3 files that I submit into my program.

If I rip off my video (which include 4 songs), should I divide them?

Been wanting to find this one for a while now.
It's from the Chris Benoit DVD, and I believe it was used in the Rise and Fall of ECW DVD as well.

Yes, they need to be divided into seperate MP3s as it only recognizes one song at a time.

If I start filling requests in this thread, it's just going to get even more messy. Trying to keep it to identifying tracks right now, because in the long run I'm trying to test the software to see where I need to make the tweaks. You're welcome for the info though. 8-)

Software didn't pick it up, but to me that sounds like a Videohelper track.

Wow.. that's a LOT of tracks there Alby. I'm not even going to listen to them to see how clear some of them are, BUT what I will do is download them all, and throw them into my software and I will report back with the results.

It'll take me a few hours though as I am at work but I will certainly try them when I get home.

Once again, Thanks for your help with the Roode/Lashley track! :)
and thanks to AfroOod for posting it! :D

Now, I have 4 other requests.
They're from commercials for when WWE/TNA comes to this area. (All about 30 seconds, with talking over it)
https://app.box.com/s/9d0wdzszkvhq12i7gzen

Hope these can be found, whenever you put them in your software thingy. :)
