Discussion regarding the site itself. This includes the upcoming Version 7. Also comments about the site, suggestions for V7, questions about XT, problems with your life, and errors — ooh I hates those errors!
This April I will be meeting and talking to Jimmy Hart and be asking many questions, mostly theme related.
I thought I would give everyone the opportunity to ask some questions too, nothing silly or basic like "why aren't you releasing themes" or "whats your favourite". I would like some intellectual questions, so please post them here and I will pick the best ones.
What was the hardest theme song you ever worked on?
How long did it take to create Sexy Boy for HBK's character?
What goes into creating a good theme song for a wrestler?
In all fairness, I think it's perfectly reasonable to ask him if the themes he made will ever see the light of day. He composed some great stuff, and I think there's more demand for it than he realizes.
With that being said, I'd just like to know a little bit more on the process of how he went about composing music for wrestlers. Did he have certain "visions" with certain guys? Did he bulk-compose a bunch of stuff and just divvy it up to wrestlers based on need? What was the largest amount of time he ever spent on a single theme?
What promotion do you feel you made the best and most varied music styles for and why do you feel that that you did your best themes there rather than on the other side?
I wonder if Jimmy Hart also issued the WCW with some of their production music as well as making his own for them? If yes then what libraries were the ones he chose tracks to use from this would get our full set of libraries of course?
Thanks for all the suggestions, I especially liked the one on "That's Alright Honky Tonk Mama". Anymore feel free to add, it's all booked and 2 months away still.

Unfortunately he doesn't actually own any of the WWF themes, they are WWF property.

I can answer this one already, it varied. Depending on where he was with the WWF he create the tracks on the road in rough, then book a local studio wherever he was and record it properly.
Since you had an involvement part in every single WWF/WCW/WWE made theme of Bret Hart (Although Hitman In The House and possiblely the remake as well for Bret Hart [WCW] was a combo with a band I would still even say both revions of that counts as well as you were involved in both I think and anything that had Jimmy appoval counts as a Jimmy theme I'd say) and Honky Tonk Man what is your favorate track of either guy and why do you favor that revision over the rest of them which version is extra special for you?
" the fans were very happy to see you release some WCW themes on Itunes. Given that there are some glaring big name ommissions (like Bret Hart, DDP, Hogan, Raven) are you planning another release? and do you have a timetable on when that will be available?"
If all goes well (thanks to him signing back with the WWE it could potentially be cancelled) then it should be on April 26th.
I shall definitely ask him about another potential release as he has only released about half of what he made, though Bret Hart is not by Jimmy Hart it's by The Odds.
The basics of what is collected here so far is:
Which theme song did you enjoy doing the most and why?
What was the hardest theme song you ever worked on?
How long did it take to create Sexy Boy for HBK's character?
What goes into creating a good theme song for a wrestler?

Is he the man behind the song "That's Allright Honky Tonk Mama" ? (best question so far imo) In which studio did he recorded his songs in WWF? - already answered
How did he came up with the song "All Americain Boys" for the Rougeaus and get them to sing in it ?
What promotion do you feel you made the best and most varied music styles for and why do you feel that that you did your best themes there rather than on the other side?

Obviously I will reword these and put them in to some order and potentially merge questions together.

Yeah, ask him about a volume 2 for both his Music of WCW and WWE the Federation Era albums.
