True, no DL's are ever going to get that big again unless the whole site is opened to the public again. I suggest removing it OR an "most DL'ed of the week".

Hmm, I'll have to think about what to replace it with. I noticed that, too, the other day... it'll never change unless I reset the download counts, which I really don't want to do, for historical reasons (I guess).
So far we've got:

Excellent idea! Where would the stars be located... when you view info on the theme, right next to the theme, or perhaps when you play it? Or a separate window that pops up when you click "Rate" or a Star icon?stumpymcgoat wrote:Perhaps a star ranking system for themes

I think you should have it like the Youtube rating system and put it in the theme info because some people can't support the pop-up player.TerranRich wrote:Excellent idea! Then you can have a top rated theme list and be able to see the rating of the TOTW, top downloads and Admin faves.

Re: Top "5" Themes
Ooh, this gives me an idea about how to implement a Flash player that doesn't pop up. Although the theme will stop playing once you leave the page. I need to learn how Facebook does the thing where you switch pages without really changing your location (it just adds a "#" and extra stuff to the end of the URL). I know how to do it, I just need to plan it out. Then, we'll be able to play themes while we navigate the site, without ever technically leaving the page (and thus being able to play themes from page to page without stopping.
EDIT:
Damn, I just looked into it, and Facebook uses what they call "Quickling" that utilizes AJAX to load content instead of navigating normally. This includes support for the back/forward browser buttons, which is beyond my expertise. I guess we'll just stick with putting the rating icons in the infobox that the Plus Sign icon opens.
