How comes the good real version of the Chris Jericho 1st theme and others that we replaced the shitty remakes with before were replaced with the shitty remakes again?
Was there a server swap which put all the crap versions back on the site which means they need replacing with the real versions again or what?

The other admins usually handle file uploads, so I'm not sure. It definitely wasn't a server swap, as the themes have been on their current server for over a year now. I recently moved the main site and forums to the same server, but the themes themselves haven't changed because of that reason.
I'll ask TA or TF when I see them.

My rule of thumb is if there's a good enough remake to replace a recording, I'll add it to the site. Themes Like HHH's 4th, and Christian's first single theme still have their titantron rips up. The way it is now, I see no problem with it. Besides, Beast's remakes are too good to pass up.

It's not a good remake, I've listened to the real one on youtube and it sounds different so shouldn't the original be uploaded?

I personally only allow remakes if they are (1) very VERY accurate and true to the original, and (2) we don't already have a decent-sounding original anywhere. This is why having a remake of Triple H's corporate singles theme is fine, because the remake sounds 99.99% accurate and true to the original, and the best version I've heard still sounds crappy.
As far as Jericho's 1st, I don't remember what the original sounds like, but if it's decent enough to be up in place of the remake, then we should put it back up. I'll try to look for it.

I think it's from some cassette recording of some kind... I think it has a story behind it...XylotThemes wrote:I personally only allow remakes if they are (1) very VERY accurate and true to the original, and (2) we don't already have a decent-sounding original anywhere. I personally think in the main counts should be real versions only and there should be a little devider below where all the remakes go.

I think you should always up both versions if it's possible: original one and remake one.
