Xylot Themes BACK IN BUSINESS!!!

So the same thing that happened to ShutUpload is about to happen to Xylot Themes.
HostGator, the service that hosts all of the files for most of my sites, is complaining that the files stored by Xylot Themes (all 8,977 of our MP3 files) are taking up too much space and must be deleted (or at least stored elsewhere).
I have no idea what I am going to do with all of the files. I could pay hundreds of dollars a month for dedicated servers, but I just don't have the money for that. There is also cloud hosting, for which I would have to pay not only for storage but for bandwidth usage as well. I ran the calculations, and that would come out to literally thousands of dollars a month.
So until I figure something out, I will have to back up the files on my personal computer and delete them from the server. If anybody has any viable ideas, please let me know. This has to be done as soon as possible, so by the weekend all files will most likely be gone.

I think the main idea of this site is theme counts, so surely an option would be to delete the mp3s of albums, misc, games and maybe DVD menus?
This should reduce it by a few thousand.
Another idea would be to do what I put forward a while back. Have 1 database for production music of which the songs would be uploaded only once and linked to the wrestlers (much like single wrestlers using tag team). So instead of themes like "Z Custom" being on the server 4 times (like it currently is) and "Moon Valley" being on ther 7 times, it could be on there once and from the linked to whomever used it. This would also make it easier for updating themes when a higher quality is available. It could also be done so it automatically fills in the "Library" part and maybe an addition of "Album"?
For now I would back up the mp3s, leave it a month so HostGator gets off your back and in the mean time possibly work on that idea?
Also how many Inodes are you using at the moment? As I remember they said it's virtually unlimited space for as long as you don't exceed the Inode limit when I joined.

I use Hostgator for my company VBCtv and we have had problems with them about hosting videos and music files in the past also. We then changed our videos to Vimeo and Brightcove and only hosted our music files (about 200 from our shows, different music from episodes) and they took them down without us knowing and we contacted them and they told us that it was hurting their servers so thank god I had the files backed up because I was later reading and they do reserve the right to remove your files without notice.

What about GoDaddy? They have good plans with unlimited space and unlimited bandwidth:
https://www.godaddy.com/hosting/web-hos ... x?ci=76393
Cheap prices.
I had a website there with gigabytes of videos and a lot of bandwidth use each month and never had any problems.
If there was a way to backup/download every themes on the site in ONE download I would backup everything!

I've seen just about every theme site go away. I began my time at ThemeTitan back in 1999 at the height of the theming craze. I would like to see something stay because I've been a member here for 5 years now.

I would probably say that BeDmAn's suggestion probably is the best way to go, as far as finding a way to host mp3s. Even though I stream songs on the main site through WinAmp (I prefer it to streaming them through the player on the main site), I can always switch to YouTube as far as listening to wrestling music without downloading it. If there's one thing I've learned in my now 30 years of life so far, it's that sometimes, some things must change & you just have to learn to deal with it.

Yeah, a number of us have probably been around for well over 10 years. I think I was around from 2002 or thereabouts, so it's 10 years for me.
Thanks to everyone who had the site up. It's been alot of work and made alot of people very happy.

For me the main attraction of the site is having any theme available whenever I want and I'd hate to see that go.

Yeah, it's amazing how many theming type of sites there have been and how far back they go. Back in the days of Geocities and Angelfire, there were a number of theming sites around with midi, wav, .rm files, etc. This is one of the most extensive, though. Those older sites were still great!

Then theres the million and one edited versions which I don't want nor need because I collect unedited themes.
Just uploading the full version alone trims the fat of having multiple edited versions and also are much better themes than the edited versions anyway.

I knew we would come to this one day, nothing lasts forever. Though I'm sure this is not end of the world and we'll probably find a way, but I bet some features have to go (like Jukebox or so).
