Raven ECW theme count corrections...

As far as I know, Raven never used "Smells Like Teen Spirit" in ECW as an entrance theme. It was, however, used for his music videos. He also used Dreamer's "Man in the Box" by Alice in Chains when he returned in 1999... which would be his 2nd theme (if I'm correct about him not using Teen Spirit)

I never watched ECW, so I wouldn't know. Not to say I don't believe you, but I've been burned by incorrect "corrections" before. Can anyone else confirm this?

When Raven triumphantly returned to ECW at The Madhouse of Extreme in Queens, NY to defeat the Dudley Boyz on August 26, 1999, the strains of Alice In Chains' grunge anthem 'Man In The Box' rang out as a beaten Tommy Dreamer achieved his greatest dream of winning an ECW title. This moment of glory was stymied by the grim visage of Raven, as this moment of victory was all his and Dreamer's theme reluctantly rang in the new era of Raven in ECW. For weeks afterward, this would be the theme song of the reluctant tag team champions as Dreamer would always come close to losing the titles, only to have Raven save him in order to keep the titles, as well as Dreamer, close to him in a psychological drama of mythic proportions.
I believe that Smells Like Teen Spirit
may have been used in another promotion, I don't remember it ever being used for Raven in ECW. Come Out and Play was his main theme, he even used it again after he split from Dreamer. As I said, Teen Spirit to my knowledge, was only used in video packages.

This Nirvana track, the definitive anthem of the grunge-rock generation, was used by ECW as part of a video package to put over the Raven/Dreamer rivalry back in 1995. It interlaced clips from Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" video [directed by Samuel Bayer] with clips from Raven and Dreamer's rivalry, including a fight at Killian's Rock Cafe in Florida, to early Raven promos, and was extremely popular. So much so that ECW re-aired it to put Raven over when he rejoined ECW, airing it on ECW Hardcore TV on September 17, 1999.
