What dates should we go by for WCW section

As I am trying to sort the WCW section out properly for everyones benefit, I thought I should first get everyones input on 1 crucial part.... What dates do we go by?
I think WWE (post-26/03/2001) should not be included.
All up to March 26th, 2001 - From NWA to Jim Crockett Promotions, to when Turner bought it in mid 1988, to 1991 when it officially became WCW up until March 26th, 2001 the final Nitro.
1988 to March 26th, 2001 - This is from when Turner bought it from JCP, to official change to WCW in 1991 up until WWE's takeover in 2001.
Or...
1991 to March 26th, 2001 - This is when it was officially World Championship Wrestling and from when WCW official title histories begin and ends.

There is benefits of each option so choose what you think we should go by and I shall start to edit the current listings from the winning option.
I am keeping this open for 2 weeks, after that I shall give the WCW a good wipe-over.

My thought would be that WCW started when Turner renamed Jim Crockett Promotions to World Championship Wrestling.

Everything, don't complecate things.

Edit: It probably is complecating things a little because this NWA is back under the name On Fire so On Fire themes would count too.

Do whatever.

I think it should start from when WCW lost its ties with the NWA and officially became its own company. Keeps things nice and simple.

I wish you would stop mentioning this NWA "On Fire" they are just airing old matches, if that was to be included then all WWE DVDs with WCW matches, WCW video releases, TV repeats, WWE 24/7 etc would also count... pointless mentioning it

That would be 1993 when they officially split, but I would assume you mean 1991 when it "began again" (so to speak).

I think that it should be from 1988, when Ted Turner bought it. It doesn't matter if it was still a part of the NWA, becuase so was TNA.

Perhaps we could make a separate section for the pre-1988 NWA stuff. personally, I count from @1985 or so (World Championship Wrestling logo in the background). I Think we should count from where they started using the "World Championship Wrestling....proudly sponsored (or whatever it was) By the NWA" intro.

That was just a show title... like RAW or SmackDown it wasnt the company name or anythin.
This is why I bring it up though as some say start from when World Championship Wrestling was first used ... which would be early 80s, some say with Turner bought it which would be 1988, some say when it was WCW which would be 1991 and some say when they seperated from NWA which would be 1993.

From my point of view... 1988 and after would be the easiest to go into more detail of who used what and when as I am slowly getting all the shows. NWA used alot of random mainstream tracks pre-1988 which makes it harder along with rare production vinyls.

I for one can't wait for the rehash especially if some of the shitty ones get replaced with the proper 320's.

I would probably restart my whole WCW collection again then.

I've stopped downloading WCW becuase of the shitty quality of most of them. I'm also hoping for some decent Vertebreaker and Can't Get You Out Of My Heart edits ect you know where I'm getting at for the recording only ones.
