I have no life.

So lately I've been thinking about a good, consistent format for all production library album titles. Should XylotThemes recognize a universe format, go by each production library's format, or just "do whatever"?

For example: "Time to Shout" by William Kingswood—used as Dolph Ziggler's 1st entrance theme for WWE was a lovely jam ... I have its album in my iTunes library credited as CHAP343 - Guitar Revival 2. Would CHAP343: Guitar Revival 2 or Chappell - CHAP343 - Guitar Revival 2 make more sense? What about Guitar Revival 2 (CHAP343)? Is there any standard for this? Does the Chappell production library have a specific format? Would the EVO production library format its album different? Do other libraries have their own formatting?

Where did you got that information?. So far, the only thing I found is the artist you mentioned before (William Kingswood).

Well, it depends on the way you see it.

The format Chappell - CHAP343 - Guitar Revival 2 wouldn't be necessary on the site because there's already a place to fill from which production library the song belongs to.

EVO & Chappell are hosted in FirstCom.com, so, both have the same format. Now, if we talk about KPM Music (which came from APM Music) or Metro Music (which came from Warner Chappell Production Music). The format will be different, because KPM & Metro Music aren't hosted by the same site.

Honestly, I think this format (CHAP343: Guitar Revival 2) or (CHAP343 - Guitar Revival 2) would be okay, with the code CHAP, it will tell you where the song came from. Now, if you wanted to do it the following way because you want to be more precise with that information (Chappell - CHAP343 - Guitar Revival 2), then go on!.

For those who aren't in the "know" then CHAP or "CM" or "DWCD" could be confusing as to where they're from. As pointed out though there is a section on Xylot for the library itself to be put in.
Most of the codes are specific to the libraries themselves and there is only a few which share the same codes.

As for displaying "CHAP 128 - National Anthems" is pretty straight forward and to the point. I don't think we need "Chappell" included, otherwise we'd start using the full titles "Chappell Recorded Music Library - CHAP 128 - National Anthems"; Just too long.

As for how they show on websites does not really relate to how they show on CD's. Hernan mentioned about KPM being from APM when really APM is just the middle man, a provider/publisher, not the owner of the library. Before being bought out KPM was independant but merged with MusicHouse, which was then bought by EMI, which is now owned by Sony/ATV Music.

It is mainly the way tracks are listed that get changed on websites, such as FirstCom and Chappell tracks which have either (1) or 1). These usually get excluded on the website.
