If the files have been backed up and your in the process of something Terran, then I think you need to say it as it seems like you may lose alot of members if you don't mention whats happening. Many have already said bye to this place due to this, so please give us an update.

I think Craig's solution seems to be the most logical. It's pointless to have the same themes multiple times throughout the server, sometimes in varying qualities. It's the same thing in my own collection, if several people have used the same track, I just label it whomever it seems to be the most well-known for.

Also, most of the PPV themes now-days are mainstream and can be found within a few seconds outside of the site. It would save you decent chunk of server space to just let those go and keep only the stuff made in-house, like "Capital" and "California."

what we did back in the old days... no wait Limewire got shut down too....

Guess it's all up to youtube and the mp3 converter

Luckily there's lots of themes but I love quality MP3's :(

I will not say bye-bye to this place. I'm here to stay. I've met some awesome people here. I just hope the forum stays up as well.

Actually, there's been a new "fork" to Limewire created. It's called "Wireshare". I found out about it @ Wikipedia. Here's the link to it.

I do hope Craig and my idea which was basiclly the same can put some life back into us as otherwise the whole lot of us will have to negoceate to get in to other places which is a bloody hard thing if you are me at least even with some major FCW production finds behind my belt because I will forever have the few annoying things of AS putting me back even with my act together like now.

My current home is Xylot and I will stay and not attempt to get back into anywhere else unless they invite me until the page is black though because I have loyalty due to you guys understanding me, giving me the benifit of the doubt after I signed up to XT even with you guys knowing about my past demons of attitude which I still have but it's completely minor compared to the past and giving me the chance to actually shine and show off my true protental of my searching skills.

Unedited Production and WWE themes only unless if theres a case of a new intro not relating to the original track is in the theme and only one time and in 128kbs would work and it's still listenable unlike lower bitrate like 96 which gives the Mono sound even in Stereo.

I would say delete EVERYTHING except the WWE/WCW main entrance themes. DVD Menu's and such should go.

TNA, ROH, etc, who cares? ECW has some valuable themes, but 90% are real anyway. A .TXT document of who used what would suffice.

I don't want to sound rude, but on the day Xylot Themes goes to 128kbps, I will stop visting here. The whole point of Xylot Themes is being the most complete theme database there is, if you put it full of 128kbps themes, that means you still have to find them somewhere else in better quality and Xylot Themes just becomes another waypoint and not the final destination. If I want 128kbps stuff, I go to YouTube.

TL;DR: This is not 2001

Why keep defunct federations? WCW won't have anything new....

Id say focus on WWE, TNA, and ROH

I said it and say it again: http://www.GoDaddy.com

For 7.50$/month (Ultimate Plan), unlimited bandwidth and space.

Also, the Deluxe Plan is 4.50$/month and also offer unlimited bandwidth and space.

I think it may be part of the solution.

Might a move to a P2P system work? We're not too many people here, but there are probably a few people that could lay the foundation in seeding, and we could work from there. I'm not 100% sure how updating would work, though - I haven't worked with the system too much.

As good as that may be, it will have the same problem. Everything has a "fair use" policy, of which no matter whether it says "unlimited", if your site is using more than its fair share of bandwidth or memory etc then they have the rights to take action, like HostGator has in regards to this.

I say the simple solution is mine of which is simply reduce whats on here. It may be great having such a vast amount on here including Misc, DVD's, Albums etc but then they take up so much space which isnt really needed, this site is mainly theme counts.

I can see where you are coming from but even though it is a defunct company new themes are still being found. This includes new counts as we watch the older World Wides, Pro's, Saturday Nights, Saturday Mornings, Main Event, Power Hour, SuperBout's etc we notice themes that wrestlers had used that we didn't notice before, so it is still being updated. Much like how themes for WWF from the 90s are still being found and updated, such as Doink having 3, Adam Bomb having 3, Honky Tonk Man's first coming to light etc.
I mean even most recently Ricky Steamboats 1991 theme from WCW was found by Toby.

In my opinion:
Albums & Video Games can be packages on filesharing sites. Misc can go. DVD don't take up much space so can stay. The rest can be just managed better in the production music side of things.
When you look at a track like "Hard City" from FirstCom, this was used in WWF, WCW and ECW. This could be 1 track on the site instead of 3. Also tracks like "Heavy Poop" from BRg is/was on the site 5 times (Adian Byrd, Bobby Blaze, Chip Minton, Frankie Lancaster and Lodi) this could of been just 1 track.

As I have said I don't think it's a case of dramatically reduce everything, but rather just slightly reduce the amount to ease the server.

Can you not upload the themes to a service like Rapidgator or Depositfiles? That is what sites like Fight BB & ShawnRebbeca use for wrestling media & I am pretty sure they recieve money for people downloading the content. It would mean people would have to get a Rapidgator or Depositfiles account however.

DEAR GOD PLEASE NO. Apart from Mediafire, which is also starting to suck now that it's getting popular, most one-click filehosters are downright horrible for something like this. Rapidgator especially has a terrible habit of locking you out for about three hours after a single download, and Depositfiles, while not as horrible, has a 15 minute wait and I think they also have a maximum files per day limit.

That's if you are using it for free. I pay for both Rapidgator & Depositfiles membership & have been using both for about a year & on average download about 20 GB - 30 GB a week with very little problems. The size of the files of Xylot would be downloaded in seconds if you're a member. Like I said sites like Fight BB & ShawnRebbeca and even the porn forums use these sites because you can store an unlimited number of files & the person who stores & uploads them for people to download is paid money by the file sharing company (I think). Simply a suggestion.

Forcing people to buy accounts to get any sort of reasonable download speed going is a horrible, horrible idea. I'm not paying upwards of thirteen bucks a month just so I don't have to wait a week to download a handful of themes.

EDIT: And even if I found paying regularly to download themes to be acceptable, it would be a far superior option to simply give TR the money, because I'm sure that he'd get more out of it if I sent the money I'd have to pay for a premium account directly to him.

If people need to pay to download music then WTF would be the point of having this site? I'd buy the albums and music from iTunes if I had the money but I have videos to make and music to use for them right NOW lmao

Sorry WWE and TNA
