Also: same question I have for Jim Johnston compositions: does CFO$ simply compose the music and have various artists actually perform it? Or do they do both? … Are we listening to an actual CFO$ vocalist in Paige's entrance theme?

Depends on it, The Night and Light Weight are done by John and Mike. I think John also does the rapping in "Night of Gold".

Somewhere along the line, WWE hired these guys to produce music for them. They started in 2012 with Monday Night RAW's theme, "The Night," which was released under the moniker of "Kromestatik." Beginning with the release of "Back to the NYC" in 2013, all of John and Mike's work have been released under the moniker of "CFO$." John and Mike later revealed in a Q&A video on YouTube that they are (or were) Kromestatik. Their name is pronounced "See-Ef-Ohs" and not "See-Ef-Oh-Es."

John and Mike have co-written the majority of the of the songs that they've produced for WWE. (e.g. "The Night," "Light Weight," "This Life" etc.) Many tracks that CFO$ have produced, they've co-written with other people such as, Ian Driscoll, Lenard Skolnik and Thomas Saltman. For example, Paige's entrance theme, "Stars in the Night," was co-written by John, Mike, Ian Driscoll and Lenard Skolnik. Some songs that CFO$ have produced, John and Mike had no hand in writing. For example, Seth Rollins' entrance theme, "The Second Coming," was written solely by Thomas Saltman. Other songwriters include Todd Clark, Michael Walpole, Christopher Walters, John Charles Monds & Ryan Baharloo. I'd also like to point out that none of these other songwriters are actual members of CFO$. It's just John and Mike who are CFO$.

Johnston himself was a part of CFO$ for Anything. "in fact it ended up being listed under his own name, dispite it being by a larger CFO$ cast with him in it, it still counts has him being a member for a theme."

CFO$ claimed on Twitter to have produced Bo Dallas' "Anything" theme, but I'm not so sure about that. If they were involved in it, I'm pretty certain their name would've been credited alongside Jim Johnston's.

Former Empertic guy "Gregg Steven Wattenberg" is also one of the big guys of the CFO$, which isn't even listed in Paddy's setup for them.

I'm not sure if Gregg Wattenberg actually had an hand in writing any of these CFO$ tracks. I think he's just an executive producer. It's common practice in the music industry for executive producers to claim a writing credit for a song even if they didn't actually have a hand in writing it.

Christopher Michaels Walters joined them for Around The Way. "If it's the name of the shitty Blake and Murphy dubstep track though, it could be a credit to have his theme playing as the background sample ie. the "Now You See it" BBC IPlayer recording I did, so might be a 1 off to credit a background sample by somebody else which they pumped up, but this artist still counts, even if it is for a dubstep backings, Around The Way does sound dubstep like as a title."

"Around the Way" isn't Blake and Murphy's dubstep theme. It's a track from the WWE Tough Eough soundtrack. You can hear it here:

And by the way, Christopher Walters doesn't do dubstep. He's a hard rock/metal guy. His vocals are featured on the CFO$ tracks "Mass Appeal" (Solomon Crowe's entrance theme), "Make or Break" (WWE Tough Enough Main Theme), and the aforementioned "Around the Way" from the WWE Tough Enough sountrack. He's also written some production tracks for West One Music.

For those interested just in case any of these were used in WWE also, the early formation of the CFO$ tracks as well, pre the EGG Songs II WWE Exclusives.

Egg Songs Publishing is for mainstream songs released by Wind-up Records, so you won't find any tracks listed there that were written for WWE. Only the tracks listed under Egg Songs II Publishing are tracks that were written for WWE.

I would have to say that https://mobile.ascap.com/aceclient/AceC ... CH%20MUSIC might be more precise over Egg Songs II as it has a few hidden gems in that version which you would miss otherwise on the CFO$ only.

Screech Music is the publisher for all WWE-related tracks listed on ASCAP, so when you view the list for Screech Music, it includes some non-CFO$ tracks such as the tracks from John Cena and Tha Trademarc's "You Can't See Me" album, Johnathan Coachman's "Hard Hittin'" theme etc.
