Question regarding Test's count
Does him coming out to New Age Outlaws theme on the 1-11-1999 Corporate Rumble count?
While I'm at it, does Triple H coming out to Goldust's theme count, also?

Re: Question regarding Test's count
No because it was a botch. On FOX Sport version they dubbed NAO's theme with Test's own theme.peteroshea90 wrote:Does him coming out to New Age Outlaws theme on the 1-11-1999 Corporate Rumble count?

Re: Question regarding Test's count
If it was a botch, wouldn't they have attempted to turn it off? Also, wouldn't they have dubbed it over with his correct theme on the Best of Raw Vol. 2 DVD?

Re: Question regarding Test's count
Well they've botched themes before and in this case it was just like 5 sec entrance so I guess they didn't bother. Best of RAW thing is probably just an error because they used the live tape version and not the one they sent to FOX Sport.peteroshea90 wrote:If it was a botch, wouldn't they have attempted to turn it off? Also, Test using NAO theme wouldn't make sense. He was part of the Corporation at the time and DX was his enemy.

Being that it was used during the Corporate Rumble, I would say that it would make more sense than you think. The superstars did not come out Corporation/DX alternately. Also, Test using NAO theme wouldn't make sense. He was part of the Corporation at the time and DX was his enemy.

Re: Question regarding Test's count
No and no. Test's was an error, and Triple H was just as a story-line progression.
If we count Test, might as well count Muhammad Hassan coming out to the WGTT/Charlie Haas theme for about 3 second. If we count Triple H, then we should count all of the times people have come out to different themes as a joke or as an imposter, like Vince McMahon coming out to "Rockhouse" and then saying it'd be the last time we'd ever hear that song.

How do we know that Test's is an error? We don't. He uses it. It counts. It's not a case of a clear cut error.Neomic wrote:No and no. Test's was an error, and Triple H was just as a story-line progression.

And yet the site is very inconsistant. We count the themes Goldust used, but don't count the themes Big Show used. Who's going to clean that up? Maybe we shouldn't count Orndorff using Hulk's theme either.

Re: Question regarding Test's count
Yes it is. I repeat: Test was part of the Corporation at the time so there's no freaking reason him to use his enemy's theme and if this wouldn't be an error, it wouldn't be dubbed over on Fox Sport version. I don't want to be mean, but you should actually watch the shows from that time period rather than watching some home videos so you could actually know the storylines.peteroshea90 wrote:How do we know that Test's is an error? Re: Question regarding Test's count
FAIL. I've watched all of the Raw episodes in actual time since about 1996, so stop assuming I haven't watched them. Just figured I'd put it out there, since I just finished getting the Best of Raw DVD's. There very well could of been a reason why he used that particular theme. I'll say it again, the superstars DID NOT come out Corporation/DX alternately.
Also, are you going to be the one that either cleans up The Artist Formely Known as Goldust's count or adds in some theme for the Big Show? Somehow I doubt it.
Also, the "Don't be a Dick" rule also applies to mods and administrators as well, so if you want to be dishing out the warnings, you must first lead by example.

Re: Question regarding Test's count
If you've watched all the episodes since 1996 you would know that Corporation didn't have theme back then & every wrestler used their own theme in the rumble and Test's theme wasn't NAO. Even Michael Cole & Shane said that "Wait a minute, they're playing the Outlaws music but Test is in the ring? What happened there?", that and the dub gives away that it was a botch. And if we would assume that Test was pretending to be a NAO to get the upperhand of DX, it would be count as mocking so it wouldn't count anyway.peteroshea90 wrote: FAIL. I do agree at this part. Though the best way would be to add a new wrestler to the database, like we have done with Goldust. There's Vaderdust and so. Same should be done to Big Show's fake gimmicks as well. That way the themes could be found but they wouldn't mess up the theme count.peteroshea90 wrote:Also, are you going to be the one that either cleans up The Artist Formely Known as Goldust's count or adds in some theme for the Big Show? I'm not being a dick. I'm not telling people that their edit suck ass or so. I told you to watch the shows because this is not the first time you claimed something which isn't there and I feel that it's because of lack of knowledge of storylines or footage in general. And remember, if you claim something, be ready to prove it.peteroshea90 wrote:Also, the "Don't be a Dick" rule also applies to mods and administrators as well, so if you want to be dishing out the warnings, you must first lead by example.

Michael Cole also said that The Corporation were pulling strings again. The dub doesn't really give away that it was a botch. There have been a few times the WWE has dubbed things over for no apparent reason.TriMoon wrote:If you've watched all the episodes since 1996 you would know that Corporation didn't have theme back then & every wrestler used their own theme in the rumble and Test's theme wasn't NAO. There is more than one way to be condescending towards other people. I don't believe that at any stage that I've claimed something that isn't there. I may have made mistakes, so just remember, that there are differences between the two. And I've attempted to the best of my knowledge, prove every recording and prove anything that needs fixing.TriMoon wrote:I'm not being a dick. I'm not telling people that their edit suck ass or so. Re: Question regarding Test's count
Well it's true that WWE has made dubbing mistake before, but they also deleted the commentary line from that part (camera angle was changed as well to hide NAO titantron). So that pretty much gives it away that it was a botch & the editor was told to remove those errors. Here's the clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scQ8rmVQCpopeteroshea90 wrote:Michael Cole also said that The Corporation were pulling strings again. I admit that I could've been wiser and post that clip right away so we wouldn't need to fight over it (though I didn't remember that they removed the commentary line & changed the angle as well). Well at least this proves my point, post the prove right away, if you have one.
As long as you do that, we'll be fine. It's okay to make mistakes & not knowing everything as long as you admit it at the right time.TriMoon wrote:And I've attempted to the best of my knowledge, prove every recording and prove anything that needs fixing.

OK Thanks for the clip and my apologies for the misunderstanding, TriMoon. Please feel free to lock the topic.
