Stable Member Using Stable's Theme

Post by TriMoon »

I think this is one of the biggest problems in themeing.

Some people like to count that if a wrestler uses a stable theme in a single match, it should be counted as his own theme as well. My personal opinion is vice versa.

The Rock did use Nation of Domination's theme during his single matches back in 97-98 but it's not counted in his theme count, but Randy Orton using Evolution's theme is counted? What? So what I'm suggesting that we should make an official line that if a wrestler uses a stable's theme while being in a stable, it shouldn't be counted as his own theme.

If the stable breaks up and a wrestler still uses the theme like Wade Barrett, THEN it should be counted.

Stable and Tag Team Themes do not need to be on the Singles Wrestlers count.

Exactly. I can mind all the wrong/fake/confusing titles, but I like this to be fixed.

Only problem would be changing them all.

If a wrestler uses a tag team/stable theme during a singles run, it should be counted (e.g. Charlie Haas using "Heroes).

OMG, i'm arguing over theme counts. Please shoot me :)

I think I could agree to this as well, but then that would make someone like Scott Hall not have a theme count.. since he just used the nWo themes.. i guess he has Razor Ramon's theme :)

Yea I noticed this as well, like for example you see Faarooq's theme count having all 5 A.P.A themes in his count but Bradshaw only has 3 out of 5, so it's confusing, and I will agree that stable/tag team themes shouldn't unless they used it after the split of a team/stable.

The way I would do it would be to scratch all the stable themes from the wrestlers' theme counts, and also put a link at the bottom of a wrestler's page linking to the stables he's been in.

I agree with McD & Jackson. The page can be like this:

Wrestler's Name
Singles Theme #1
Singles Theme #2
ETC

Tag Team & Factions Associated With:
Link to Tag Team #1 Theme
Link to Faction #2 Theme

Miscellaneous & Dubbed Themes Used:
W/Links to the Misc. Section
Dubbed Theme #1

You people love making more work for me.

Totally kidding, I'd love to add a feature where admins can add what teams/stables a wrestler has been in, with a list of links at the bottom of the entry page. That wouldn't be a problem at all.

Also, I agree with eliminating stable/tag team themes from a wrestler's theme count, if and only if they were not used during a singles' run (like somebody else mentioned with Haas and "Heroes").

Even then, it was the Tag Team theme so it should be Tag Team themes then, no point in having it as singles.

So if Shawn Michaels continued to use the Rockers' theme when he split from Jannetty, and continued to use it to this day, would he then not have a theme count at all? Seems kind of silly. For example, JTG uses the Cryme Tyme theme. Assuming he doesn't use any different versions of it, and he goes on to make a name for himself, doesn't it seem silly for him to have an empty theme count listing? (And yes, I know, he does use a different version, but assume he didn't.)

Yeah, that's how i would do the theme counts.. team themes should only count as a single wrestlers theme, only if they split from that team and continue using it.. I've been thinking about redoing mine this way because i have so many holes in my counts for example, i have Ron Simmons 1st to 2nd, then 7th to 9th, then 15th to 18th.. since the ones in between are Nation and APA themes, i just didn't wanna have 50 copies of the same theme on my computer :)

Orton DID use Evolution's theme after splitting up from Evolution, only for one night though.

Other than that, i agree with you, it's pointless to count a tag team/stable theme in someone's count. What i have done with my own counts is the following:

1st: Unknown Title
Unknown Title (Unknown Tag Team Theme)
2nd: Unknown Title

That way, the theme is mentioned, but it doesn't technically count to their theme count.
