CHIKARA, CZW, EVOLVE & ROH Theme Counts + Recs

Post by Kid Ego »

Hey guys, so I've been working on these for a little while now (the CHIKARA one I've been working on with Hernan since about last May, and the EVOLVE one I started ages ago and kind of abandoned) and thought I'd appropriate the database layout created by BretC and use it to make these accessible by you guys.

A couple of things to note about these counts; firstly CHIKARA's is missing a lot of the shows from 2002-2003 so any counts potentially affected by that have been marked in the database, however apart from that it is 100% up-to-date and accurate. Secondly the EVOLVE one is 100% complete apart from theme info from EVOLVE 23, 24, 56 and 57. Thirdly the CZW count is pretty much entirely the work of Hernan, I'm merely chronicling it in this database as a form of back-up should (Heaven forbid) anything happen to the main site.

For anyone interested in trying to fill in the blanks in these counts, I have 4 recordings folders; one for CHIKARA, one for CZW, one for EVOLVE and lastly one for ROH. In order to ensure those folders don't get insanely cluttered I don't upload duplicate recordings (IE: if more than one person has used the same unknown song), so there will only ever be one instance of a song recording on there within a specific folder (and I do my best to make sure its the best quality one available).

So, for those of you who have just slogged your way through all that lot, here's the link to the database.

Enjoy!

** EDIT **

I now have 2 additional recordings folders, one for 3PW and one for WCPW.

Wow, this is great. I'll be adding this right now.

Question: Are there any problem if you can explain me a description of those edited songs?. I mean, what has been edited from the original one.

It might take some time, but sure if you ask me about a specific one I'll do my best to tell you exactly how its edited. Not sure if you want to do that via PM or Facebook (because it'd be in real time), your call.

Also did you mean the CHIKARA edits, the EVOLVE edits or both?

Basically, EVOLVE.

Here's one I need description: Invincible by Sensory Creatures.

I'd prefer PM.

Sure thing man, I'll shoot you a PM about them.

**EDIT**

Oh I forgot to say as well, you've probably already spotted it but I added an "Additional Notes" column in that database for listing which library a production song was from and/or if the entry is for a tag team/stable, who the members were.

OK for those of you who care, the EVOLVE list is now as complete as I personally can make it. EVOLVE 1 through 37 (excluding 23 and 24) have been listed and relevant recordings added to the recordings folder, so all that's missing now is EVOLVE 38 to present day (EVOLVE 59 as of this particular moment in time).

For those of you who want to look for some of these missing/unknown ones, apart from Incompetech which was used fairly extensively, its possible EVOLVE also used VideoHelper and ccMixter for their music as a couple of tracks came from those places (specifically Drew Gulak (2nd) from VideoHelper and Trevor Lee from ccMixter), so those would be a good place to start.

Rich Swann (5th) is a remix of "Take a Look at Me Now", uploaded by xtrakeys. The acapella was originally made by J. Lang feat. Q.

Wow great job man! Huge thanks for passing that info along, you always amaze me with your finds.

I'm not quite sure how best to list this, I'm torn between the following two ways:

1) "Take a Look at Me Now [Remix]" by xtrakeys
2) "Take a Look at Me Now [xtrakeys Remix]" by J. Lang ft. Q

Any thoughts? :?

I'm leaning more towards the 2nd way as for instance, Caleb Konley's 4th is listed as "Sail [Omega Remix]" by Awolnation, and not "Sail [Remix]" by Omega.

**EDIT**

Just taken another listen to this and compared it to the recording, and I actually think he used a clean version of this song. ("Sugar Look" by Scott Altham).

Wow, awesome job man! I've just finished updating the theme count on Google Drive with all the info and added the recordings to the relevant folder.

By the way, Johnny Gargano's entrances that you weren't too sure about are a 3rd edit that on review he actually started using at EVOLVE 29, and the 2nd unknown theme used by Biff Busick is an instrumental version of "Bro Hymn" by Pennywise.

I hope someday we can find Andrew Everett's, Rey Horus' and TJ Perkins' themes, I don't usually go much for those genres of music but damn those songs sound awesome!

Also I've sent a tweet to Martin Stone, hoping that me being a fellow Brit will have some sway and I'll get a response.

Thanks man, any chance you could fix the link for the EVOLVE 47 recordings? At the moment it points to the same link as EVOLVE 46's Andrew Everett recording.

**EDIT**

You might want to double check all of them actually, they all seem to point to the recordings of the next event (IE: Link for EVOLVE 48 links to recordings of EVOLVE 49 etc,) ;)

I just put them all in one single, so I avoid things like that haha.

Thanks man, the database has been updated with all of those and I'm about to start adding the recordings to the folder.

Also damn, 4 more for the wishlist now; Catch Point's, Chris Dickinson's, Jonathan Gresham's, and Rich Swann's (Especially Catch Point's and Jonathan Gresham's!) :D

**EDIT**

Oh, if you could get a recording of Rich Swann's entrance from EVOLVE 48 that would be great. Thanks man.

**EDIT 2**

For those wondering, Matt Riddle's theme is pitch-shifted down (by scale factor) exactly 10% with the tempo preserved (in GoldWave at least).

Couple of Mini Notes :

The All Night Long Version - Sounds V. Much like The Official Instrumental (The 6 Min Version!!!) - that Rich sings OTT of !!

Roderick Strong : The E.O.H Version is the Resident Evil: Apocalypse Soundtrack (and Special Edition of The End of Heartache album)
Hence the Shorter Intro - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVP5gJBmRtA

'Cause all you know is what you see
'Cause you're all blind to who I am
So all you see is a mystery
'Cause I'm PRICELESS!!!"
