Music Player HTML5???
I have noticed that the music player on the main site is Flash Only. Is there a way you guys can make it HTML5 for those of us that are no longer using Flash Player. I know Flash has been the subject of the news lately with many companies calling for it's end of life.

Definitely. I want to move away from Flash completely. A few years ago, HTML5 support wasn't nearly as common as it is now, so it's definitely time to move to an HTML5 player. This will mean, however, that I will have to re-do how playlists work. In the next week or so I'll upgrade to an HTML5 player. Especially since Firefox recently blocked Flash again due to security issues.

I've just updated Shockwave and the Flashplayer is working again, but HTML5 would definitely be better.TerranRich wrote:Definitely. I want to move away from Flash completely. I don't want to be pessimistic but would it have consequences if the player changes from Flash to HTML5?.

HTML5 is browser based. I run an online TV Network & we moved from Flash to HTML5 almost 2 years ago. Now Firefox has blocked Flash & a lot of people feel since most modern websites are HTML5 & so are the browsers, it's time to finally kill off Flash. Flash will always have security flaws because it's third-party software and very hackable.

Firefox hasn't blocked flash. Flash just had an update yesterday. Update it and it won't be showing block messeges anymore. However I have moved on to HTML5 on YouTube and the only reason why I keep flash really is WWE Network which should have been HTML 5 from the start but isn't.

Flash is ancient and insecure, it needs to fucking go. Anyway, I've used the Facebook player for a while now and it seems to work fine
